Could this plan potential work?

I own an iPod Touch, and would love to use that anywhere, without upgrading to an iPhone. Now my idea is that I buy the Mi-Fi from Version: http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/mobilebroadband/?page=products_mifi With the $60 5GB a month plan: http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/mobilebroadband/?page=plans I would buy a microphone for my iPod Touch, and use Skype and a texting apps for calling an texting. My first question is if 5GB a month too little for using an iPod Touch as a regular phone? My next question is, would this plan cost less than if I bought an iPhone? Keep in mind I already own the iPod. My final question is, how well would this system work? Would it just be a better idea to buy a iPhone, even if it does cost a little more? Thanks in advance.

  1. You need to check with Verizon. Many cellular carriers are installing software on their networks that stop their customers from using Voip calling. Call Verizon to find out if they allow it.

  2. Get an iPhone and sell your iTouch.
