I am absolutely sick of Dial-Up, need alternative...?

I live out in the country but my neighbor that is probably 1/2-3/4 Miles away has high speed internet but theres no possible way for me to get it, not cable, nor Dsl, I have researched everything and the only way to get it is Satellite (way toooo much money) and Evdo From like verizon but they have a 5gb DL limit and its 99cents per mb after that, if it didnt have the limit, i would get that but for right now im dealing with dial up and have been since 98 and it keeps messin up cuz the phone line is crap so i can barely do anything on the internet and I cant find very many Wifi spots anywhere close hopefully some of you know a way to hack satellite or something thanks....

1. buy an iphone (any kind) pay for the data service, hack it and use it as an internet gateway. The only possible way to get faster than dial up without paying too much plus you get a really cool phone! It worth it because its the only thing left to try! Note your computer will need bluetooth (cheap upgrade starting at 10 dollars)



2. First of all Verizon's overage charge is not 99cents/mb, its 25cents/mb:

   Secondly, 5GB is a LOT of data:

   if you need 10GB just get two Verizon accounts and pay $120/mo which is still better than satellite.

   You might also want to see if Sprint EVDO is available to you. They have a 5GB limit in their terms, but at least they don't specify overage charges.
