Can I do xbox live with ICS if I'm using a wireless Sprint EVDO REV A aircard? I have a Dell and my only internet connection is a Sprint Novatel EVDO Rev A aircard. It runs at DSL speed and I get full signal strength at my apartment. I should be able to configure ICS and just run an ethernet cable from my laptop to the xbox 360....correct?

Why is My Download on Sprint EVDO Sierra Wireless 597 not as fast as speedtest.net? Hello, I have Sprint Wireless broadband and recently I downloaded a 23.3 MB file. The speed downloading was an average around 50kbps, fluctuating between 30kbps and 70kbps. The funny thing is that when I go to speedtest.net, I get a reading that my download speed is 405kbps and upload is 43kbps. not so worried about upload because pages load quickly while I am surfing on the web. I also have the modem hooked up to a Cradlepoint MBR1000 router and I am connected to it wirelessly through my desktop computer running Windows Vista Premium 32 Bit and I use Mozilla Firefox as my internet browser. (NOTE: I just now started using Mozilla, before I used IE but even when I changed browsers there was no difference in download speed except for web pages.) Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. how do i bridge my sprint internet connection? Im trying to use the sprint EVDO card thats built in my laptop to run the internet over another computer in my house, using the built in WI-FI card's. VOIP phone service on a EVDO card? A sales person at Verizon tells me that I can get EVDO speed to my laptop using a LG-V and a usb cable,TRUE? Is this true, and if so why would I want a pc card when I would have to pay more. Also when I approach Sprint they say this is not possible through a usb cable. evdo icon wont go away? Ive had my motorola razor with sprint service for about a year and a half and have had no trouble but about 3 weeks ago the evdo icon popped up on my screen and wont go away. Ive been having trouble making calls, and when i finally do get through to the person i lose signal within 5-10 min, and just over the last few days im not even receiving calls anymore, its just going straight to voicemail even though the phone is on...So i dont know what this evdo icon means or how to make it go away? anyone had this prob? Please HELP!

I was trying to use the Internet sharing from my computer to a wireless router that i bought along time ago befoe i moved when i had comcast.. Now i cant even get DSL here but w.e lol. Anyway can anyone tell me how i can get this to work? I got my Internet sharing on and i pluged my ethernet cord from the computer tot he internet slot of my router and nothing.. i was wondering if i had to configure the router or something? Whats a better EVDO Wireless broadband router? I was looking for EVDO routers and the cheapest i found is a linksys for sprint for 99.99$. I also found a cradlepoint CTR-350 for 124.99$ that comes with a mail in rebate.. the question is which one is better? I was looking and cradlepoint seems to be the better one but the linksys is cheper and i only got 127$ atm.... Anyway could anyone with experience help me choose which one to buy? Sprint Mogul & Power Vision? I was thinking a bout buying the Sprint Mogul, but I had a question about the data plans with Sprint. The basic data plan with unlimited data usage is $15, but will that allow me to use the Internet Explorer with my Mogul? or do I need expensive EvDo Plan?
Should I get Sprint Power Vision $15.00? I'm thinking about getting the Sprint Power Vision for 15.00, since I have a Treo 700 and it uses the super fast EvDO network. I used it this past weekend but it seems like all i'm getting is basic internet and TV. Even the TV is limited to certain channels if you want more full access you have to pay additional per month for the channel. And for GPS another 9.99 per month. It seems like the 15.00 is just the beginning. Well if anyone can tell me what the benefits of the Power Vision is I will appreciate it. I already have the net at home and work so dont need it for that, and I have a tv so do not need to be watching tv on a 2 inch screen. Also the TV on the phone was a bit choppy and the voices were out of sync. Also I check my email online so do not need the phone for email either. I basically got the phone for music and as an organizer, but the Sprint people were trying to convince me to get the Power Vision package. Let me know if its a good deal or not. thanks. well if all I can do with it is check email and sports scores, I can wait till I get home or to work for that. The TV feature on it wasn't so great it was more like 2 min clips, and the live TV was choppy.
How harmful/wrong would it be to use my 3G data card in an airplane? Ok, so I'm going on a pretty long coast to coast flight few weeks and I know that no cell phones or other communication devices are allowed on planes however what would honestly happen if I use my Sprint 3G Data card during the flight? I would assume if a flight attendant saw it they would tell me to take it off but what if I connected to my Verizon 3G phone via bluetooth to my computer. This way the connection would not be visible to the naked eye but then comes in the whole interfering with the aircraft... I remember reading that interference only occurs at certain MHz...I believe it is in the 400-800 range and I'm pretty sure that an EVDO 3G connection does not fall in this category. I dont want to risk something drastic such as seriously interfering with things vital to the air craft staying in air but do you really think using a 3G card to check some email is a huge risk? I mean if it was don't you think that TSA would be doing more to stop this because if it really did bring planes down what's to say a group of terrorist wouldn't just start going on planes with mobile phones and data cards in the hopes to bring it down. Sprint Customers: LG Rumor or Moto Q 9c? Ok this is a very linear question but hear me out. I am stuck between getting two phones for sprint one is the LG Rumor and the other is the Q 9c. The Q 9c seems to be a very nice smartphone for $100 after rebate. It supports EVDO (not sure about rev. A), full-keyboard, internet capabilities, micro-SD support, camera, sprint power vision support. The LG Rumor is half the price with less features. It is capable of WAP web browsing, but not using any version of EVDO so the speed is barely faster than dial-up. It however has a full fledged keyboard that slides out so it is great for text messages and has built in support for AIM,Yahoo, and MSN messengers. Another plus in my book for Rumor is that it doesn't use windows mobile while 9c does. Some see this as a minus, but I've had friends that had to hard reset their phones several times that had Windows Mobile 5 or 6.0 as an OS. 9c uses 6.1, but after trying Vista sp1 I'm not willing to use a simple point release. What do you think?

Is Alltel internet sharing free? I've asked my Alltel rep and he's told me it I'd have to pay a monthly rate for the service, and he also said that at the current time it's using my voice minutes when I use the internet sharing right now without the plan. But that doesn't seem to be correct to me. I have an HTC Touch Pro (uses WM 6.1) and want to use the internet sharing on occasion to share its EVDO connection with my laptop (not via WiFi, cause I don't pay for WiFi), and have an unlimited data plan. I've seen countless registry edits listed for the Sprint HTC Touch Pro that makes the internet sharing free. Is there a way to do this for the Alltel version? I've actually used the internet sharing a couple times before when I found the feature, but then became worried that they would charge me for it, so I stopped using it. I wasn't able to tell on my bill if they had charged me for it or not. Thanks for your response tiny_lil........I've actually been able to connect pretty easily through bluetooth when I did try the internet sharing thing. Amazon Kindle: Do you HAVE TO download eBooks directly to the Kindle? My mother-in-law bought my father-in-law an Amazon Kindle for Christmas, and now they want my help to make it work. They are rural and thus outside of Sprint's EVDO network, which is required to download content over the air. So, my question is this: Can you buy Kindle - programmed books on Amazon, download them to your PC, and then transfer them to the Kindle via a USB cable or some other cable? I haven't seen the Kindle or the box it came in to see if there were instructions or any cables included. Just my mother-in-law calling me on the phone asking me to help her with no working knowledge of the gadget. What do these Sprint symbols mean? I have a Treo 755 and it shows some of the same symbols my old phone used to show, but I cannot find out what they mean. First, I know what the signal strength meter and the up and down arrows by it mean (data transmission), but what do the set of 6 (3 up 3 down) arrows next to that mean? I am guessing it means EVDO, but that is just a guess. Second, what about the crosshairs/target looking icon? I have no idea what that one means. I have been trying to work these out, since I spend half of my day in a Sprint area, and half roaming. I think I get the roaming symbol (upwards blue triangle).

what is cheapest USA mobile plan/prepaid that supports voip? I'd like to use voip on my cell phone. This will need a 3G service such as Verizon's EVDO or Sprint's CDMA2000. How much are the plan options given than I don't want to use the call minutes, just the broadband? Are there any prepaid data plans? Will I have to commit for 2 yrs, even if I bring my own phone? Is it possible to bond two internet connections via 802.11g to get the combined bandwidth to a single computer I have two internet connections into my home. One via Cox 5Mbps down and 3Mbps up that goes to a linksys 802.11/ ethernet switch/access point. I have a backup connection via Sprint EVDO 1.5 Mpbs down and 800 Kbps Up that connects to a second linksys 802.11/ethernet switch access point. Is there any way to bond these two connections so I can get the bandwidth out of both of these connections. And if so would I need to setup a router with bgp or some other protocol to accomplish this. Both the cox and sprint access points have ethernet ports and 802.11. I am tapping out the 5Mbps off my cox link and get about 1.5Mbps off the sprint link and was hoping to somehow use them both via bonding or setting up some sort of router. These are residential services so I am sure I can not advertise routes and things like that. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciatied.
